Nestled in the heart of Starved Rock State Park, it's surrounded by more than 2,600 acres of dense forests, sandstone canyons, seasonal waterfalls, and hiking trails. The 1930s era stone-and-log lodge has a 72-room hotel, plus 22 cabins in the woods. The Great Hall features the largest, 2-sided stone fireplace in Illinois. The rustic Dining Room is open daily and the adjoining Back Door Lounge steps out to a scenic Veranda where outdoor dining is available. The Lodge also has an indoor pool complex, Gift Shop, Café, meeting rooms, Massage Cabin, and three trackless trolleys. Starved Rock State Park, Lodge and Visitor Center attract over 2 million visitors per year.
