Seven Springs Farm is a 125-acre organic (not certified) farm in Floyd County,Virginia. Our philosophy is to be stewards of the land in the most ecological way possible. We use farming methods that build the fertility of the soil, such as organic fertilizers and biodynamically made compost. Pest management is achieved through cultural practices and biological and botanically-based materials. The farm is home to a Community Supported Agriculture Garden and Organic Farming & Gardening Supply business. Our catalog is also on the web site. We will mail-order or truck items direct to you. We also run an apprenticeship program from our farm which can also be looked up on our web site.
We offer 29 kinds of vegetables and two herbs in season from late May through the end of December. Food is harvested and distributed weekly with four to seven different vegetables each week. We offer two share sizes: a full share (8 to 16 lbs./week), and a half share (4 to 8 lbs./week). Working members work 16 hours per full share (8 hours per half share) over the season.
