The Regional Center for Healthy Communities (Metrowest), or RCHC, serves the 60 communities that make up the Metrowest Boston region. The RCHC promotes partnership among regional and local public health leaders and providers and collaborates with communities to promote health and reduce the use and risks associated with alcohol and other drugs.
The RCHC is committed to conducting all of our work with cultural humility. Five years ago we embarked on a cultural awareness initiative, and through the years it has informed our thinking about how we build our library collection, shape our technical assistance and training, guide our recruitment of new staff, and influence our understanding of the communities with whom we work. As a result, we are invested in fostering strong youth-adult partnerships, strengthening the presence of underrepresented communities in local coalitions and networks, co-facilitating trainings with a variety of community partners and keeping up-to-date on best practices in cultural competency, cultural humility, and the reduction of health disparities. Please join us in our efforts to foster an equitable approach to prevention and health promotion.

The RCHC is a program of Mount Auburn Hospital and is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We are one of six Regional Centers throughout Massachusetts that form part of the public health infrastructure of the Commonwealth.
