Otsego Lake State Park is shaded with large oak, maple and pine. It encompasses 62 acres and provides more than a half mile of sandy beach and large sites near or within sight of the lake. The majority of the sites are large, flat and shady. Otsego Lake was established as a state park in 1920.

Otsego Lake State Park - located just south of Gaylord - is home to more than a half mile of sandy beach, a campground, picnic area, a boat launch and much more.

Activities:

Fishing: For those without a boat, the park has an accessible fishing pier. Fishing is generally good year-round. Species include bluegill, perch, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike and sturgeon.

Paddlesports: Otsego Lake is great for paddling.

Pet-Friendly Area: There is a section of pet-friendly shoreline on Otsego Lake; however, it is only accessible via a flight of stairs near site 64 at the far north end of the campground. During times of high water, this area becomes even less accessible. Pets must be on a six-foot leash and under the owner's immediate control at all times. All pet waste must be properly disposed of in trash receptacles. For more information, please contact the park.

Swimming: There is a universally accessible swim beach located in the park. A beach wheelchair is available upon request.

Beach: A universally accessible boardwalk leads to the swimming beach in park.

Fishing Pier: There is a universally accessible fishing pier (seasonal) located in the day-use area near the boat launch.

Playground: There is a swing set and slide, volleyball court, basketball court and horseshoe pits in the playground.
