About Us:
The New Dawn Earth Center in Cumberland, RI was established on September 1, 2006 as a response to the Sisters of Mercy commitment to reverence Earth and work more effectively towards sustainability of life.New Dawn Earth Center invites families, children and adults to explore nature and celebrate earth. The center strives to instill a sense-of-awe and interconnectedness with all life through its various programs on and off site. The educational and experiential programs are open to all who wish to share in the Center’s mission and vision.  

Our gathering space is a handicapped accessible meeting room which “changes face” for each offering. We have a small lending resource room available to all.  Our community of life includes gardens, fields, woods, ponds and wetlands, which nurture spirits and call us to live sustainably on this fragile Earth.

Mission:
The New Dawn Earth Center invites everyone to learn from, honor and celebrate the interconnectedness of all life. As we become more aware of our place among the wider community of life, we seek to live ever more sustainably, maintaining a balance with local resources and natural cycles. We aim to create a space where humans can be in relationship with Earth and thereby nurture their own spirit. We commit ourselves to collaborate with those who share a similar vision.
