History

The Nebraska Country Music Foundation was founded in 1980 by Barb and Mario (Doc) Dantes. It has grown in membership and support to several hundred in the past years. Our home for the annual festival in October for the past several years has been at the Adams County Fairgrounds, Hastings, NE.

Every year the Foundation has welcomed members and visitors from all over the United States and England. We have a strong relationship with our members and supporters. Membership to the Nebraska Country Music Foundation is encouraged but not required.

Fans of Country Music are always welcome to attend our fundraisers and events throughout the year, and our annual festival is always held the second full week in October.

The Nebraska Country Music Foundation is a non profit foundation, and it is our goal every year to provide Country & Gospel music lovers a festival second to none. Our performers in the competition range in age from 5 years old to 95 years young. The talent that young folks display is amazing. We have watched several youth and teen grow up with the Nebraska Country Music Foundation.
