About Us
Muncie Ballet was created to provide children of all economic backgrounds the opportunity to experience and appreciate classical dance and music through community performances, as a performer or audience member. MBS is a 501 C3 organized in 1991, created and founded by Lisa Love
Each fall and spring, hundreds of Indiana school children wait anxiously for the curtain to open, for many, their first ballet performance. In fact, over the course of the last ten years, Muncie Ballet matinee performances for schools have reached 18,000 children.
The mission of Muncie Ballet is to increase the awareness and appreciation of classical dance and music to children through dance instruction and creating audiences for today and tomorrow through storybook classical dance and music performances.
We offer a varied class program with price options for all levels of interest, ability and economic situation for Pre-pointe and pointe classes (which meet 3 or more times each week). Our Pre-pointe and pointe rehearsal program brings tweens and teens together to provide dancers with excellent role models, expectations and team building skills to last a lifetime.
