Mission:
It is our focus to help Lyman students gain knowledge and skills enabling them to develop creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving strategies, contributing to their future success.
Lyman Elementary strives to provide a safe, supportive environment that recognizes the diversity of students and the uniqueness of the Lyman community.
The Lyman staff is dedicated to making decisions that ensure opportunities for the academic, social, and personal growth of each student. By working with parents and community, we strive for excellence by linking our curricular goals, standards and assessment procedures to the Essential Learning of Washington State.
Lyman staff and community members are committed to upgrading their school while maintaining its "country school" atmosphere. An addition of three classrooms and a library was complete in 1992. In the fall of 1998, two additional classrooms and a conference room were opened.
Located approximately eight miles east of Sedro-Woolley, Lyman Elementary serves elementary students in the Lyman and Hamilton communities.
Sedro-Woolley School District encourages parents to be a part of their child's education by attending: Booster Group Meetings held the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Lyman Elementary.
