Latta Public Schools first day of classes occurred on November 19, 1920.  In August of that same year, voters approved the consolidation of several school districts to form one consolidated district in an effort to provide high school classes for area students.  The name Latta came as a result of land donated to the school by George Latta, a local landowner.  Today, over 85 years later, Latta Public School offers comprehensive educational programs for students from 4 years old through 12th grade.  The school system includes an elementary school, a junior high school, and a high school.

Latta Public School is located on State Highway 1 approximately three miles south of Ada, Oklahoma.
