Laguna Plein Air Painters Association ("LPAPA"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art organization, is dedicated to the renowned landscape painting heritage of Laguna Beach.  LPAPA serves its members regionally, nationally and internationally through exhibitions, events, mentoring programs and education.  LPAPA's membership extends to nearly every state and seven foreign countries.  You do not have to be an artist to join; art patrons are welcome to join as Supporter Members.

Each October Laguna Beach, a famous seaside community and historic artist colony, turns into an outdoor studio with the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational. This event, presented by LPAPA and its sponsors, showcases the nation's top plein air landscape painters who participate in week-long festivities including public paint outs, environmental awareness activites, and educational events.  Culminating with the highly anticipated Collectors' Gala and Public Sale.  This event celebrates the artisitic legacy of Laguna Beach, as well as helping to care for the legacy of landscape painting entrusted to us by the early California painters.
