Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest nestled at the base of  Mt. Adams(12,276) is the small community of Glenwood. Glenwood, Wa  is the home of the “Ketchum Kalf” rodeo. The first rodeo was held in 1914 under the name of “Mt Adams Cattle Association”. It was first held at the old Conboy Place (around were the Lazy Dazy S is today) it was held on July 4th  and was used as entertainment for the CAMAS PRAIRIE AND VICINIYY PIONEER ASSOCATION. In the beginning it was held in an open field without chutes, corrals or grandstands. The horses and cattle were supplied by the local farmers and ranchers, The cowboys were the locals!

In 1937 the rodeo was moved to the Bert Lane Place(right behind what is now the Post Office)were it was still a bunch of farmers and ranchers having fun in a field!!

In 1941 it was moved to its present day site just west of Glenwood. The land was donated to the Glenwood Rodeo Association by Pete Conboy. In 1943 the name was changed to the “Ketchum Kalf” rodeo. The two day rodeo is held every Fathers Day weekend, with the cowboy action kicking off 1:00p.m. on Sat. and Sun.
