Founded in 1922, the Izaak Walton League of America is one of the nation's oldest and most respected conservation organizations, with more than 250 chapters across the country.
The Izaak Walton League of America - Rockville Chapter is a group of men and women committed to preserving our natural heritage and promoting outdoor recreation.
Surrounded by Seneca Creek State Park, our beautiful grounds are an oasis within Montgomery County, an ideal spot for fishing, shooting, hiking and other outdoor activities. They include the 3-acre Jim Berrier Memorial Lake, home to rainbow trout, bass and catfish and wood ducks. The lake includes a fishing pier, camping area and pavilions for cookouts.
We have pistol, rifle and archery ranges available to our members and their accompanying guests. We offer a wide spectrum of firearms training including basic instruction, safe handling, advanced training and more. Our newly-expanded chapter house is available to members for meetings, parties and weddings. Members can hike along our trail system or stroll through our chestnut orchard.
