The mission statement of the Izaak Walton League is to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest, water and other natural resources; to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.

More specifically, our chapter will focus on, without preclusion to other worthwhile conservation and outdoor sportsmanship activities, increasing wildlife habitat and efforts related to supporting and increasing wildlife numbers, outdoor shooting sportsmanship, and other activities which respectfully promote the outdoors and our natural resources.

Our mission will be to purchase goods and services necessary, at reasonable cost, to provide the foregoing activities and programs not only to members, but also to the public at large with priority to the greater New Ulm area, whenever possible.
