Hillcrest Baptist Church, first met in 1962 as a nucleus of believers in the home of Mrs. Geneva Kleinman. In April 21, 1964, the church was duly organized as an incorporated, Baptist Church.

With an eye to the future, the church, in December of 1974, purchased twenty acres of land adjacent to the three acres they had previously purchased on October 9, 1966. By 1978, the property was paid off and the need for an addition to the church was recognized. On October 21, 1979, a ground-breaking service was held for the new facility. The new facility was finished and dedicated November 16, 1980.

The Hillcrest Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in Logansport, Indiana, about an hour and a half north of Indianapolis. Our church is easily accessible from U.S. 24 in the northern half of Indiana. Our church facilities are located on a 23-acre campus.

There are more than 15,000 independent Baptist churches in America and at least 10,000 independent Baptist missionaries serving on mission fields worldwide.

Every independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation. We are self- governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a great example of a local New Testament church.
