About Us:

Welcome to South Carolina’s oldest inland town. Founded in 1731 on the banks of the Wateree River, not far  from Hermitage Farm Shooting Sports, the early settlement was known as Fredricksburg.

By 1768, the colony had moved to the present town location and two centuries later we are graced with a heritage of excellent architecture and gracious parks.

Enjoy the Camden of today. The city center boasts a wealth of historic sites , an outstanding Fine Arts Center, great antiquing and fine dining. As a well known thoroughbred training center, we host a variety of equestrian activities.

Camden is centrally located with easy access from Columbia, Charlotte and coastal sites. Private air transportation is easily handled at the local airport.
