The Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization comprised of more than 240 commercial, industrial, professional service and retail businesses as members. The Chamber acts as a liaison between the Village of Grayslake, the Township, Lake County, the State and local citizens on matters concerning the well being of the Grayslake business community. Founded March 7, 1950 by a group of local business owners, the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce has worked to promote a proactive, vibrant business community. We have seen many changes and many successes over the past half century and we look forward to a prosperous future. The Chamber of Commerce provides its members with many benefits and business services. These include joint advertising programs, newsletters, a business referral service, informational membership meetings, a New Resident Welcome Program, seminars targeted to the specific needs of the small business owner and many opportunities for business-to-business networking. The Chamber also plans, organizes and funds community events that are designed to promote the Village and the businesses in it. There are few, if any, Chambers in the state that provide so many services to the community and that have done so for over 50 years.

The Chamber of Commerce continues to expand its marketing programs designed to promote specific business districts and to heighten the awareness of this diverse, vibrant business community to the residents of Grayslake.The Chamber works closely with the Grayslake Economic Development Commission to ensure the health of our local business community and attract strong new businesses to the Grayslake area that will complement the existing businesses and serve the needs of the residents of Grayslake. Membership in the Chamber is an example of the commitment to high standards of service and ethics that Grayslake residents deserve. The Chamber of Commerce provides a full range of services to its members, works to expand the local economy through innovative economic development programs and supports community betterment projects.
