About Us
The Trumbull house was the home of Connecticut's Revolutionary War Governor, the only Colonial Governor to support the war for independence and is the birthplace of John Trumbull, America's Patriot Artist. Built between 1735 and 1740, the house is furnished in the period and displays several Trumbull possessions. Under Governor Trumbull's leadership, Connecticut was credited with providing more than half of the provisions to the Continental Army.
The Governor Trumbull House Museum is owned and maintained by the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution and is open Wedmesday through Sunday, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM, from May 15 to October 15. Adult admission is $3.00, with children under 6 free with an adult.
