Glimmerglass Film Days showcases the best in independent films exploring humanity’s complex relationship with the natural world. We aim to inspire environmental stewardship and provoke activism through the power of storytelling in film and art, and through thought-provoking encounters with filmmakers, artists, writers, and activists. A program of Otsego 2000, Glimmerglass Film Days also highlights Cooperstown’s Main Street and the natural, cultural, and historic resources in the Otsego Lake region.
Margaret “Peggy” Parsons is the founder and artistic director of Glimmerglass Film Days. Her storied career in film programming includes founding the film program at the National Gallery of Art, where she served as director, and serving on the boards and as a judge of major film festivals. She has strong ties to Cooperstown, and thought it an ideal place for a film festival.
