Garbeau's was reopened in June, 2007, under the new ownership and direction of Mark Ferreira and Andrea Castel. Since then, Garbeau's and its owners have been featured multiple times in the Sacramento News and Review, made twelve television appearances on Good Day Sacramento and KCRA news, have been interviewed by Kitty O'Neal on KFBK's afternoon news, received "Best Dining Entertainment" from Sacramento Magazine, were featured as a cover story in the Sacramento Bee Ticket, received a small nod from The Wall Street Journal, and recently campaigned for Mark's nomination as Sacramento's "Man of the Year" through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Throughout the publicity and patrons' comments, words like "new energy," "buzz," and "nightlife," are recurring ways to describe the changes and reinvention of Garbeau's.
