Friends of Bedford Depot Park was incorporated in January 1995 as a non-profit (501-C-3) organization. It now has over 300 members throughout the country. The group is:

Helping the Town with Bedford Depot Park at the Minuteman Bikeway terminus;
Restoring vintage Boston & Maine Railroad Rail Diesel Car #6211 for static display;
Researching and preserving the history of the narrow-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad and the B&M's former Lexington and Reformatory Branches;
Publishing a newsletter, "Bedford Depot News";
Sponsoring visits to New England tourist railways.
