For 18 years, First Night Westport/Weston has provided visitors from our area and neighboring towns with a rich diversity of artistic excellence. At the heart of First Night is its focus on presenting a richly diverse celebration of the Arts in a safe and alcohol and substance-free environment. The towns of Westport and Weston can certainly be proud of First Night and its continued success!

First Night is about community celebration of the New Year that finds inspiration and joy through an incredible variety of performances featuring music, song, dance, comedy, and numerous activities, as families, friends, neighbors, youth, and veterans, young and old, gather together in a unique spirit of community engagement and participation. During the day and evening of December 31st, First Night recreates a sense of community, enabling residents and visitors to experience their town in a new way while bringing people together.

Most importantly, First Night is a fun, joyful event that continues to attract visitors from surrounding towns of Westport and Weston in addition to its residents. It is a celebration that marks a special moment in time and is also a celebration of community, the arts, the spirit, creativity and diversity.
