The Fire Museum of Maryland's premier collection of fire apparatus is the third largest in the world with 41 fire engines on exhibit. Visitors can also walk through a reconstructed 1871 firehouse complete with a late 1800s Steam Fire Engine, horse and all the furniture. Visitors can also pull one of 20 alarm boxes around the museum and watch the operator send out the call over one of four telegraph and coimputer alarm offices, ranging from 1870 to 2000. The kids have lots of hands-on activities and they can put on fire gear and climb on a 1938 Mack Pumper. Open Saturdays, 10 - 4 pm all year! Summer hours are 10 to 4 pm, Wednesday to Saturday. Amission Child $5, Senior and Fire Figher $10, and Adult $12, under two are free.
