For over 40 years on the first Saturday in October, Huntsville, Texas has been the hot spot to find one of kind treasures and gift items during the Annual Fair on the Square hosted by the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce. 400 booths of arts, crafts, food and entertainment are sure to please festival patrons who will make the drive to Huntsville on the first Saturday in October each year to attend this Huntsville tradition.
Huntsville, Texas sits halfway between Dallas and Houston and is nestled among the beautiful tall pines of East Texas. The fair is held on the quaint historic downtown square which comes alive each year with the sights, sounds and smells of the festival. Many local merchants located on the square also open the doors to extend their genuine Texas hospitality!

Several vendors have been participating in the fair for numerous years, some as many as 20 plus. Vendors come from locations across the state; however several are local crafters who see the festival as an opportunity to showcase their hand crafted items from jewelry, apparel, toys, yard art and more as well as many manufactured items.

Just follow your nose to the Food Court and experience real “fair” food flavor as vendors tempt your taste buds. Spectators will satisfy their hunger with everything from fajitas to funnel cakes, barbecue to kettlekorn, fried pickles to fried Twinkies and everything in between. And…You can count on ice cold lemonade or sweet tea to quench your thirst!
The Fair on the Square is an event that the entire family can enjoy. The Kids Korner offers a variety of entertainment options many of which are FREE! Moonwalks, petting zoo, pony rides, balloon creations, bungee run and a giant coloring mural are sprinkled throughout the park to provide hours of fun!
