Fairmount Park was originally conceived to protect Philadelphia's water supply. Over time, it has written quite a history for itself. Or that the 1876 Centennial Exhibition in Fairmount Park was the first world's fair held in the United States? As you might imagine, we take our title as a Commonwealth Treasure very seriously.
