Kart Management Group brings to F1 all the ingredients of success: the financial, management, and administrative resources of a multi-faceted business conglomerate...more than 30 years of success building businesses which all proved to be leaders in their niche markets...plus more competitive karting experience than any other team in the industry. Kart Management Group is responsible for all aspects of the management of F1 Boston including operations, sales, advertising, marketing, and financial controls. The management team is composed primarily of key personnel from The MBA Group of Companies.

The MBA Group is a 30-year old business organization led by entrepreneurs known for leadership positions in diverse endeavors. MBA has been involved in the development of companies providing health and life insurance, real estate development and management, professional investigative services, database management, and safety systems for the automotive, industrial and transportation industries. It has built companies to fill new niches, introduce new concepts, market proprietary products and unique services. The MBA Group has managed companies through executive turnovers, rapid growth, and the economic vagaries of three decades. The MBA Group's management team has extensive experience with start-ups, acquisitions, joint ventures, and initial public offerings. Again and again, it has proven its ability to develop profitable investments from innovative ideas.
 
Richard J. Valentine, President/CEO of F1, is the founder of The MBA Group. He is a graduate of Suffolk University, Chairman of MBA Capital Management, and a principal in all entities developed by The MBA Group of Companies. He is also licensed as a professional driver in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and the International Motorsports Association (IMSA). He has been driving competitively for more than 25 years. He has extensive experience in motorsports and motorsports marketing and is widely recognized in the management and development of racing teams and series.
 
Richard W. Brown, Director of Real Estate and Finance, is Senior Vice President of The MBA Group with concentration on real estate and finance. He is an operating partner in most of The MBA Group companies, serving as President of MBA Capital Management and Director of LCF Associates, Inc. Prior to joining The MBA Group, he served as Executive Vice President and Senior Loan Officer of Patriot Bank, a $1 billion commercial bank in Boston.
 
Patrick J. Gallagher, Financial Advisor, is Chief Operating Officer of The MBA Group of Companies, and Executive Vice President of Massachusetts Business Association, the original foundation of The MBA Group. He has been instrumental in building the Association into the leading voice for small business in Massachusetts, representing more than 40,000 companies across the state and providing health insurance to a large percentage of the state's small businesses. He joined MBA in 1984 after spending 17 years as a banker. He is on the Board of Directors of The Federal Savings Bank and Beacon Fiduciary Advisors, Inc., a private money-management firm.
 
Robert L. Winter, CPA, Tax and Financial Reporting, has spent the last 27 years as the controller of The MBA Group. Previously, he was a senior accountant with the firm of Seidman and Seidman. A graduate of Bentley College, he is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
 
Karen Quast, General Manager, brings extensive knowledge in technology to F1 from her background in technology consulting. Prior to joining F1 Boston, she was involved in technology infrastructure consulting for investment trading floors in New York City, Boston, San Francisco, and Connecticut. At F1, she has developed a database warehouse for internal database management, and has implemented a custom software program for sales/lead management and event contract management/scheduling. A member of the World Karting Association, she is an accomplished outdoor kart racer, competing nationally in karting for the past 4 years.
