The Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA has been serving the Dubuque community since 1866 (YMCA) and 1902 (YWCA) sharing one facility since 1970. In 2000, the YMCA and YWCA merged governing boards and staff under one corporate entity called the Dubuque Community Y. Through the Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA, these merged entities continue to meet the needs of a growing and diverse community offering a variety of programs including health and wellness, youth and teen programming, aquatics, child care services, day camping and domestic violence program and shelter.
