History :
Dover Public School was established around 1891 as an Elementary School. The first class graduated in 1922. Dover Schools has a proud heritage of many distinguished alumni. In 1994, the Dover Public School Foundation was created to provide financial support for the teachers and students at Dover Schools. Our school is located on the east side of the town of Dover. The community population varies from 400-500 people while the school consists of 200-250 students. Two sites: Elementary and High Schools contain our student population. The Elementary contains grades Pre-K through 6 with 10 certified personnel serving our children. The High School contains grades 7 through 12 with 10 certified personnel providing students the opportunity to become great achievers in life, providing all the courses necessary for pursuing a higher degree. Our school also provides for those who choose other paths to continue their endeavors. Our sports programs has been very successful. Our girls Basketball Team the Lady Horns have won three state championships in a row. The boys Baseball has two state championships. This is the past and the future starts now.
