About Us:
Dellos Studios originated in a 2,000 sq ft building in Rowland Heights in 1973. The overflow of students brought expansion to a second location in Diamond Bar in 1978. In 1983, owners Bobbi and Dave Dellos consolidated all of their dancers under one roof in an 8,000 sq ft industrial building in Walnut, still known as the "The Home of the Original Dellos Dancers". In 2005 they opened another location, "The Dellos Dance Connection", an 18,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility servicing The Chino Valley communities. A fourth franchise location, "The Dellos Performing Arts Center" on The Central Coast, unites the creativity of all three Dellos staffs. Dellos Studios pride themselves on providing a loving family atmosphere in a professional and nurturing environment. They offer classes for 2 1/2 years to adult in tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe, musical theatre, jazz-funk and hip-hop. Dellos provides instruction for beginners through professional and a hands-on training program for students aspiring to become dance instructors.
As the forerunners in dance education since 1973, Dellos' staff of multi-talented instructors continue to raise the bar of excellence in both technique and performance skills. Their outstanding choreography and technical training continues to maintain Regional, State and National titles across the US achieving Top Choreography and Technical Excellence Awards.
Eighty-five individual Dellos Dance acts competed on the nationally televised, "Star Search" with Ed McMahon, on "America's Most Talented Kids," "So You Think You Can Dance?," and most recently on "America's Got Talent." Dellos' 'Wall of Fame' showcases featured dancers in music videos, feature films, commercials, movies of the week, Vegas and Broadway. "We treat each student that walks through our door as if he or she is going to be the next Big Star", shares owner, Bobbi Dellos. "Everyone receives the same professional instruction, encouragement and attention. I've always expected a lot from my teachers and every year I expect even more from my students. In 40 years they have never fallen short of my goals!"
When asked the difference between a dance studio versus a performing arts school, Miss B explains, "At Dellos, the students are encouraged to study EVERYTHING...tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, jazz-funk, hip-hop, and musical theatre. I bring in instructors and choreographers who are at the top of their game in all areas and genres of The Performing Arts world, contributing to the 'versatility and well-roundedness' of each Dellos student. Together, we provide a comprehensive knowledge and a strong foundation of skills in all areas of The Arts for our students to take with them for life.
