The 78.5 square mile Cushing district encompasses much of southeastern Payne County in central Oklahoma. Approximately 2000 students attend class in one of our seven locations which include a pre-kindergarten center and four elementary campuses, as well as middle school and high school campuses. Keeping up with the latest technology, every Cushing Public Schools' classroom has an interactive white board. Six hundred mobile Neo2's are issued to all 2nd - 5th grade students to have in their desks to use for word processing, keybording, math practice, Accelerated Reader, and as a classroom responder. Mobile labs and classroom response systems, document cameras, and GradeCams are also found at the secondary level. Students attend class in well maintained, up to date facilities at each grade level. In addition to a focus on high standards of academic achievement and performance, the students also have access to outstanding library/media facilities, a variety of academic programs, including art, music, athletics, gifted and talented programs, special education services, and an alternative learning environment
