About Crooked Road Dulcimer Festival

Hosted by Ferrum College’s Blue Ridge Institute & Museum—Virginia’s Official State Center for Blue Ridge Folklore and a Major Venue on the Crooked Road:  Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail.

Ferrum College’s Crooked Road Dulcimer Festival offers a full buffet of workshops, concerts, and jams, as well as special explorations into Virginia’s contribution to the Appalachian mountain dulcimer tradition.  Workshop topics include the Galax dulcimer, hymns, classics, fiddle tunes, bowed dulcimer, duets/trio, DAC tuning, and more.
