Concord Art Association

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at the Concord Public Library, 2900 Salvio, at Parkside Drive, Concord, from 1 p.m. to approximately 3 p.m.. Members participating in the Mini Art shows must have their entries in no later than 1 p.m. Meetings are held January through June, September through November. In December, the meeting is replaced by a luncheon. Following a short business meeting, including announcements of upcoming area events and shows, we have an educational program by an invited artist with demonstrations of various art forms, or introducing us to different facets of the art world. At many meetings, we hold a "Mini-Art-Show" where members can display their recent original works. Mini-Art-Shows are open to all members, and there is no entrance fee. All members present vote for their favorites, and the winners (first and second places) get mention in the next Newsletter. (Mini-Art-Shows are held at the Jan., Feb., Mar., April, May, June, Sept., Oct., and Nov. meetings). Non-Members are welcome to bring their work with them to show, but are not eligible for the competition. Additionally we have a book drawing, with tickets are available for a small donation at each meeting. The winner picks among several donated books. And of course refreshments - coffee and cookies!
