Con Tutti sings and celebrates the season in style with the heralding brass of classic carols, giant puppets, Irish folk band and, of course, the joyous singing of Con Tutti on December 8th at 7:30 p.m. at South Church in Portsmouth! This year 120 performers, directed by Joanne Connolly, sing an exciting range of inspired music from the world over, from French carols to English pub songs, from Gospel songs of Light to Irish Ceilidh songs, from Lativian dance tunes to West Gallery music. A highlight of this 2018 season will be the UNH Faculty Brass Quintet playing traditional carols while Con Tutti singers and audience alike sing favorite and familiar carols. Also featured this year will be Great Bay Sailor, a folk and Irish-inspired band to add to the wonderful mix! The concert will take you into a celebration of the solstice, the darkest night of the year, and back out into the returning of the light! A large surprise is in store for children and for all the “young at heart”. We’ll have our exuberant singers, polished brass, rollicking violin and guitar, perhaps an Irish trickster elf, pooka the shapeshifter or even The MAGICAL White Stag!…… and, perhaps, a few other Celtic surprises…..not to be missed!”
