Our Mission: entertain, enrich and inspire our audience by offering the finest in narrative, documentary, and short films to the Chesapeake Bay community. Our slates are thoughtfully designed to showcase broadly based films highlighting the diversity as well as the universality of the human condition. Through stories of overcoming staggering odds or exploring the whys and wherefores of the choices we make or identifying and working toward solutions of environmental issues, films can affect positive change sometimes seriously and sometimes with a sense of humor!

Through the camera's lens, individuals and communities gain an understanding of themselves and the world around them. The Chesapeake Film Festivals want to stimulate, educate and inspire our audience - but, above all, to share our passion for film: this a mission that IS possible!
