Mission:
To enrich the quality of life by promoting, developing, and coordinating excellence in the Arts.
About Us:
We are celebrating the Arts... and you are invited to join us! Artists and Art patrons alike will find something of interest and inspiration. The arts are alive at the Cherokee Arts Center!
The Cherokee Arts Center was originally the Canton Methodist Chruch. The building is on the National Historic Registry as well as the GA Historic Registry. It has since been home for the Arts Center. During that time, it has become the community arts center for Cherokee County. The Cherokee Arts Center offers a wide array of activities for adults and children. The Arts Center hosts exhibits that celebrate local and regional fine artists and craftspeople as well as a special showcase of Cherokee County School students. The Cherokee Arts Center also holds the Canton Festival of the Arts annually in May and an Arts Ball annually in the Fall.
In Summer 2010 Disney filmed scenes from the movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green at The Arts Center.
