Organized in 1932, and incorporated in 1938, the Chatham Drama Guild is
the second oldest community theatre on Cape Cod. After many years of
performing in a variety of Chatham venues, in 1973 the Guild staged its
first production in its new "home," a structure that had been moved to
donated land on Crowell Road. By the 1976-77 Season, a full stage had
been added. In the intervening years, most productions--a mix of
comedies, dramas, mysteries and musical comedies--have been staged in
the Guild's theatre. With a seating capacity of 110, the Guild offers
several features not available at other community theatres on the Cape,
including regular Membership meetings, flexible "cabaret-style" seating
for Summer productions, a fully-stocked bar, and ample on-site parking
