About us:
The quick-witted locals at Capitol City Theater send crowds home with happily busted guts and slapped knees after their all-ages, family-friendly improv comedy shows. For 90 minutes, a cast of performers takes the stage to play a series of performance games that inspire fast-paced vignettes aimed at activating funny bones and accidentally toning oblique muscles. Audiences shout out suggestions for every game to challenge comedians to find the light-hearted side of topics such as dental work, a subject whose humorousness was previously apparent exclusively to manufacturers of nitrous oxide.
Capitol City Theater is run by a multi-faceted LLC based out of Salem, OR. The first component is a comedy club that features stand up comedy and improvisational comedy theater. Secondly, it provides a training center that locates, trains and presents local talent. The third is a remote performance service that provides fine entertainment for groups locally and regionally. Lastly it is a corporate training unit that covers everything from group building techniques to performance enhancing seminars to marketing consulting.
