This is a group of volunteers who are certified by the County of San Diego to assist during disasters in the removal of livestock and animals in affected areas for evacuation.
Note: during a wildland fire, local animal resuce organizations work with law enforcement and fire departments to rescue as many animals as they can. In battling a wildfire, fire fighters will do what they can, but they are not responsible for evacuating your livestock. Fire fighters may cut fences or open gates to free trapped animals.
