The Black Artists Movement, BAM, is a multi-discipline arts organization.

This organization is for all artists from the performing, visual, and technical arenas.

Our mission is to create opportunities for artists of color to hone and display their skills and talents.

Our primary commitment is to providing creative opportunities and mentoring relationships for arists, especially African Americans and other minority groups marginalized or excluded by mainstream arts.

Drawing on our own imaginations, creativity, and experiences, we strive to acknowledge and involve the diverse cultural expressions represented in the Tallahassee community in the arts, change perceptions and attitudes to better reflect this community's diversity, and to bring the various communities together through sharing, appreciating, and admiring the gifts that each artist manifests.
