About Us: 

Big Beers & Barley Wines Beer Fest is a fundraising event of Resident Home Association (RHA). All proceeds support individuals with developmental disabilities served by RHA. Established in 1966, RHA, an Ohio non-profit provides homes, daily living support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

History:

In 2009 Mike & Donna Schwartz, owners of Belmont Party Supply, teamed up with Resident Home Association to bring Miami Valley Beer Festival featuring Big Beers & Barley Wines to Dayton. Planning for a boutique, quality event, the first year was a great success. Over 100 beers were showcased with over 300 people attending the first year, enjoying some of the most fantastic beers the craft brewing industry has to offer. 2010 brought another quality beer event to Dayton with over 300 people in attendance. 2011 and 2012 were even better years, with many rare and very limited release beers shared with over 500 attendees and volunteers. With the continued support of the generous craft beer community Big Beers & Barley Wines will continue to be an extraordinary event with extraordinary beers.
