Bethlehem A.D. is the largest living nativity in California. Free to the public, this San Francsico Peninsula Christmas tradition is held every year on December 21, December 22 and December 23. Hours are 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Bethlehem A.D. takes visitors back in time 2,000 years back in history to ancient Bethlehem where they can experience what life was like that very first Christmas.
Visitors walk through the interactive Bethlehem A.D. village, mingling with Roman centurions, and census takers, rabbis, the Wise Men and many other colorful characters who bring history alive. Children especially love the live animals, including camels. The Bethlehem A.D. experience culminates at the Manger, where the Holy Family is surrounded by angels and sojourners filled with the true spirit of the season.
