After touring nationally for 5 years as Painful Pleasure, guitarists and vocalists Rich Bova and Chip Calise reformed in 2003 as Best Friend Solitude. Their debut recording 'Believe' by their new band was a melodic fusion of hardcore and heavy metal. Their next CD 'Remains' and their latest 'Beyond All This' features angst-ridden lyrics and intense vocal performances throughout the recording.

Best Friend Solitude consists of Mike D. (Lead vocals), Rich Bova (Lead and rhythm guitars, keyboards, backing vocals), Dave Vogel (Bass guitar), and Chip Calise (Drums, backing vocals).
