The annual Augustoberfest weekend is run by the nonprofit organization, The Augustoberfest Charitable Foundation. The festival pays tribute to the area’s rich German heritage while raising scholarship money for students in the Hagerstown - Wesel Sister City foreign exchange program, along with raising foundational endowments for additional non-profits within Washington County. The Foundation’s board is comprised of active business leaders from the local community, all on a volunteer basis. Boasting the most authentic German festival around the area, catering to all ages, even an all free kids area for tons of fun!
