Ashby Village is a community network of seniors living in the cities of Berkeley, Kensingston, Albany, El Cerrito, Emeryville and parts of Oakland who want to remain independent, in their own homes and communities for as long as possible into old age. Volunteers provide a varitey of short term services to help this happen. Your help is needed with: Driving; Gardening; Handyperson; Computer Support; Medical Appointment Support; Home Companiship; Pet Care; Food prep; Office Support; Organizing; Special Events.

Volunteer screening includes: Application, reference, background check, interview, and orientation/training.

The amount of time spent volunteering could be small, but the gratitude and satisfaction is large.
