The AHOA mission:

TO support and expand creative careers of artists living with serious mental illnesses, to fight the social stigma that they face, and to contribute to the cultural enrichment of Western Massachusetts and beyond.

We invite artists into the experiment of self-redefinition. We place human value on the products of creative people. We respect self-expression. We make a crucible for launching new ideas.

We run a subsidized studio, sell collectable artworks, assist artists in making helpful linkages and accessing services and grants, offer public talks and events, and build paths to creative opportunities.
