Abaddon's Story

The word Abaddon is defined as "a place of condemned souls; the angel of condemned souls." In 1874, just after the end of the civil war and assassination of Abraham Lincoln, many Americans seeking the wealth of gold made their way to California in search of the small town of Eureka. Many made it to this small town, but many got lost. They would travel on though, reaching the South part of California, left with no gold whatsoever, and having to fend for themselves. Just on these very grounds in modern day Fountain Valley. Jonathan Douglass founded the original "Asylum for the Criminally Insane." Many families would leave there so called "loved ones" in these institutes for years even decades. Until a Autumn day in 1901, a man by the name of Walter Bastron was instituted at this very asylum. The only unusual thing is that there were no records whatsoever of where he came from, who he was related to, or what his real name was. After only a few weeks, people began to disappear, no one knew why. In their rooms on the walls, every time they disappeared, would be written in blood a saying of Latin translated as "Abaddon Conquers, Abaddon Trails, Abaddon will not flock from the bells, for he hath risen from the hells."  No one knew what this meant, and most didn't want to. After about 2 years of these people disappearing, the truth finally revealed, in Walter's room was that exact saying, carved into the wall, as if with a nail. They believed Walter had gone missing, as he was gone for over a week. Oh but little did they know, he made his triumphant return, not named as Walter, but as Abaddon himself, the dark angel of the condemned. That very day he murdered over 25 innocent individuals, but was caught late in the afternoon. He was sentenced to Death with no trial, and shot in the heart multiple times. He was buried on the very grounds of the Abaddon today. Almost 60 years later, in the mid 1960s about 16 years after they shut down the Asylum, a family bought the land and built their own house. After a week of living there, many complained about not being able to sleep, and hearing voices. Then one night, a carving became on the walls, "Abaddon Conquers, Abaddon Trails, Abaddon will not flock from the bells, for he hath risen from the hells." The family noticed this just after they had their church service. The father, Benjamin Ustrel, decided to look further into the property and this puzzle he had in his hands. He started to piece it all together, Abaddon had conquered the Asylum through Walter's body, and obviously he had risen from hell. But where did the last two parts come from? "Abaddon Trails" and "Abaddon will not flock from the bells." He then pieced it together, Abaddon will trail anyone who comes on HIS property, and he doesn't flock from the sound of church bells, for he has one job, to kill. Benjamin told the kids to get together and that they were leaving immediately. They ended up settling somewhere in Northern California, but story tells it that shortly after they had left, the entire family was found dead, in their house, with that exact saying on the saying on the wall. In 1986 the property was sold to a construction company which later built the home on the grounds that stands there today. One day in 2011, the son of Donny the owner of the property, Matthew, went under the floorboards under the house with his cousin Griffin. What they found was no joke, there was an old Latin bible sitting underneath, as Griffin picked it up, a lever was revealed. Matt pulled the lever, and a drop door opened up. They climbed down the ladder into the small room below, it looked like an old bedroom from a jail cell. But just behind the bed there was a saying "Abaddon Conquers, Abaddon Trails, Abaddon will not flock from the bells, for he hath risen from the hells." And just to the right of that, scratched in blood was a new saying, "Abaddon hath risen from the hells, Guests will start to hear the bells, then all their limbs will start to swell. They may feel pain, they may feel blood, Abaddon has come as he said he would." And etched out just as they were reading, as if someone was carving it into the wall right in front of them read "Spirits from Below, Spirits from The Grave, Take their lives from their hands, MAKE THEM FEEL MY PAIN." Legend tells it that anyone who enters the land of Abaddon will be followed and tormented for life by all evil spirits of the underworld, they will be filled with pain and misery, and life will change forever.
