Multiple "Flying Demos," Dozens of Military Vehicles, Historical Reenactors, Engaging Presentations and a Special Performance by the Museum's

M4 Sherman Tank!

Get ready for something new and fun at Planes of Fame this weekend.  On Saturday (May 6th) and Sunday (May 7th) we're converting the Museum grounds into a step back to our military heritage.  We've invited scores of military vehicles - jeeps, trucks, cars, and tracked vehicles along with troops of historical reenactors to present "Wheels, Tracks, and Wings."

Lots to See and Do!

There will be plenty of action on the ground and in the air as we're putting on three Flying Demos on both days!  Guests to this event will see the Museum's North American B-25 "Mitchell" medium bomber in one Flying Demo and our Vought F4U "Corsair" in another and our Curtiss P-40 "Warhawk" in a third Flying Demo.  

Plus, Museum Members will have shots at winning one of three flights each day in the World War II-era trainer, the Vultee BT-13B.  

Dozens of Military Vehicles from World War II and Vietnam eras

Collectors and military historians from throughout the region are bringing jeeps, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles to add to the over 100 aircraft in the Museum's collection.  Here's a great chance to see and photograph these up close.

Three "Hangar Talk" Events Throughout Each Day!

We've got some fantastic presentations in store in three separate "Hangar Talk" sessions.  Plus a number of hands-on activities each day throughout the Museum.

A "One-of-a-kind" Military Encampment

Living Historians representing soldiers from global conflicts like World War I, World War II, Vietnam and other periods in 20th Century history will be staging several military encampments for visitors to stroll through and learn more from these on-site experts.

Come See the Museum's M4 Sherman Tank Demonstration!

Considered the best of the American tanks during World War II, the M4 Sherman was feared by the axis powers in all theaters of the war.  In a special demonstration area, you'll see as we put the tank through its paces in a very special show.

A Raffle You Won't Want to Miss!
We're holding a special "Wheels, Tracks, and Wings" Raffle Drawing each day for an incredible chance for one lucky winner to win a ride in our North American P-51D "Mustang."  Raffle tickets are just $20 each!  The odds of winning are great as tickets purchased on Saturday are eligible only for Saturday's Raffle Flight.  Tickets purchased on Sunday are eligible only for Sunday's Raffle Flight. 

Special Activities for the Kids

There's an obstacle course for the kids plus our Youth Programs Team has some special activities and our Model Room is hosting several "Junior Modeler Workshops" to engage kids 6 thru 15 in the skill and hobby of model airplane building.

We've got a great line-up of food and beverage options (Beer provided by Hangar 24 Brewery) plus all the great fun of a visit to the Museum!
