The Vermont Burlesque Festival celebrates the local burlesque community and talent, offers continuing burlesque education and culture, introduces the greater Vermont community to culture and talent from outside of its borders, gives to breast cancer research, supports gender equality, promotes health and wellness projects including “love your body” positivity.  

Raising awareness & funds for breast cancer research in the state of Vermont as well as the health and wellness program at the Pride Center of Vermont, the warmth program, and the grant program at the Vermont Arts Council.

Sneak Peaks

Main Street Landing - Black Box Theater 60 Lake St  Burlington, VT

Upon arrival at 6:30 PM, as guests arrive, they'll be welcomed to savor a delightful cocktail while immersing themselves in the pre-show entertainment.  Following this, a ceremonial toast will mark the beginning of the Sneak Peaks Showcase—an engaging display tailored to enlighten newcomers to the world of modern burlesque.

This showcase is an exploration of storytelling through a captivating mix of classic burlesque, neo-burlesque, draglesque, and even nerdlesque. Guests will be transported through time, experiencing the essence of past performances while gaining sneak peeks into what's in store for the remainder of the festival weekend.

This event is intended for mature audiences, may include vulgar language and adult themes, and is restricted to ages 18+ unless accompanied by an adult.  A limited cash bar  with Specialty Hendrick's Cocktails will be available during the pre-show and throughout the showcase until just after intermission.

The Granite City Showcase

The Granite City Showcase has become one of the most attended shows of the Vermont Burlesque Festival.  From doors to curtain call, this 4 hour event features, adult beverage tastings, live music, comedy, variety acts and burlesque headliners you won't want to miss. 

Friday Night is FLANNEL NIGHT!   Barre is a flannel kinda town ...and so we want to challenge you to wear your best! Bring that flannel scarf! Put on that flannel skirt! Wear that flannel jacket! Who's got the flannel bow tie!?!  The staff of the Vermont Burlesque Festival will be giving out prizes for best flannel outfits worn to the Granite City Showcase.  Just show up, pose on the red (flannel) carpet and have your photo taken for a chance to win a variety of great prizes.

The festival isn’t just about burlesque and the celebration of body positivity, it also raises awareness and money for several local charities including… Breast Cancer Research studied right here in Vermont, the Health & Wellness Program at the Pride Center of Vermont,  the WARMTH Heating Fuel Assistance Program, and of course by contributing to the Vermont Arts Council in an effort to keep the arts alive in Vermont!

Tickets for this event are on a scaled tier schedule and raise in value as the event approaches.  The earlier you buy the more you save.

This event is intended for mature audiences, may include vulgar language and adult themes, and is restricted to ages 18+.  Specialty alcoholic educational tastings with Hendrick's Gin will also be offered to those ticket holders who are 21+.  A limited cash bar will be available during the pre-show and throughout the showcase until about 15 minutes after intermission.

The Queen City Showcase - this is the most anticipated showcase of the Vermont Burlesque Festival!  It is so popular, it requires 2 showings. Each night at 6:30pm, the evening begins with unique venders & shopping, beverage tastings, live music, entertainment, games, cocktail hour, charitable causes, and an opportunity to have your photo taken while you walk the red carpet.  The showcase begins at 8pm and with a collection of the best burlesque performances Vermont will witness all year long. Expect to enjoy about 3 hours of activities and live performance art guaranteed to flirt with every human emotion Mother Nature blessed you with.

Dress to Impress!

The theme for The Queen City Showcase is "grand", black tie, elegant & decorated. Dressing to impress is highly encouraged but is not required. Best dressed prizes will be awarded to those attendees who grace the festival’s red carpet, pose for the paparazzi, and who best exemplify the beauty, grace, elegance, and sparkling personality that is The Vermont Burlesque Festival.

Stuff to Know...

Educational alcoholic tastings with Hendrick's Gin will be offered to those ticket holders who are 21+.

And YES! ...You can bring your purchased cocktails from the bar to your seat in the showroom.

Saturday's Warm Up Review

This is the show before the show.  Come early on Saturday evening and warm up your weekend burlesque experience with about a dozen burlesque and variety acts.  Performers from all around the world will take to the stage during this early evening showcase. Nerdy acts, classic acts, and neo acts are specifically designed get you in the mood for a The Warm Up Review takes place during Saturday's Le Tres Grand Spectacle.  Your evening begins with a pre-function event that includes vending, shopping, games, Hendrick's Gin tastings and an appetizer performance or two. Then it's off to the Warm Up Review!!!
