The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park to  celebrate July 4 Getaway weekend with three days of music, fun, games and more!
If you stay for July 4, you are invited to downtown Live Oak’s event that evening including fireworks!

THE SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – The 2023 July 4^th Getaway weekend will extend into at least four days to a week this year and The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground (SOSMP) will be celebrating with all types of activities for kids and adults over the weekend!

This year’s SOSMP’s events take place Friday-Sunday nights in the Music Hall (don’t forget those dancing shoes!) with Soulshine Band from 8 - midnight Friday, June 30, Mainstream Band 8 to midnight Saturday night and Bam and JaJo 7 - 10 p.m. Sunday night. There will be Candy Bar Bingo for the kids, watermelon eating contest, free hotdogs at noon Saturday outside, swimming in our newly remodeled pool all weekend along with golf carting, kayaking on the famed Suwannee River, hiking, bat house watching in the evenings at dusk, the very popular Golf Cart Parade, Best Decorated Campsite Competition and much more!

On Tuesday, July 4, our camping guests are invited to visit downtown Live Oak for a free July 4 celebration where spectacular fireworks will take place at dusk. All are invited to celebrate Independence Day with Suwannee County folks beginning at 6 p.m. downtown July 4 with live music, food trucks, a color guard will present a flag ceremony and the city will honor the first fallen soldier in the Korean War who was also a member of the Buffalo Soldiers. The event will also honor all veterans and pay a special tribute for the forgotten war! The magnificent fireworks display will light up the night sky beginning about 9 p.m. You should bring blankets and/or chairs to enjoy this celebration you and your family will remember always when you return to the SOSMP to camp or just to visit.

During live event performances, a minimum of $5 per person is required unless otherwise specified. The SOS Café is open Thursday – Saturday for breakfast, lunch and supper. For reservations, please call the SOS Café at 386-364-1703 Thursday-Saturday.
