The Southington Apple Harvest Festival is a six-day event that takes place over the course of two weekends each Fall. This annual event is one of the largest and longest running festivals in the Northeast and typically draws a crowd of over 100,000 people. The 2024 Festival is scheduled for the weekends (Friday-Sunday).

The Festival is one of Connecticut's top tourist events held during the height of New England's beautiful fall foliage. Visitors will enjoy a jam-packed schedule of events, entertainment, activities, specialty foods, crafts and fun for all ages.

Situated on and around the picturesque Southington Town Green, the Apple Harvest Festival is a food-lover's dream amidst a dynamic, high-energy atmosphere of family-oriented fun. For many, visiting the Festival is a tradition shared with friends and family, and attendance numbers have risen with each passing year.

Color Fun Run/Walk is limited to 150 participants.  Sign up by September 15th and receive a t-shirt.

Registration can be done On-line
Registration for Y CUP ends at midnight on October 5th.  There will be no race registration for Y CUP on Sunday, October 6th

All participants within the first 750 signed up for any of the Apple Harvest Road Races will receive a t-shirt

Middle School Cup (5K)
Starts with 5K Race at 8:45 am

Chamber Corporate Cup (5K)
Starts with 5K Race at 8:45 a.m.

A new feature added to the 5K Road Race (part of the Apple Harvest Road Races on Sunday, October 6, 2024) to encourage local businesses and agencies to participate.
Local businesses and agencies register as a ‘corporate’ team in the 5K Road Race.  Contact John Myers  [email protected] or 860-919-1193
The team with the lowest time average of three runners will win the prestigious Chamber Corporate Cup Trophy  (one trophy for each for males and females) which can be prominently displayed for the upcoming year.
A plaque will also be given to the company/agency that wins to keep permanently.
Top three male and females in the Chamber Corporate Cup division will also receive medals.
Cost:  $30.    $10 of each registration goes to support Southington Chamber of Commerce community outreach programs and services.

Little Fritter Fun Runs
Starts around 10 a.m. after conclusion of 5 Mile/5K Race

Color Fun Run/Walk
Starts at 8:30 a.m.  Meet at the Y at 8:00 a.m.

A colorful addition to the Apple Harvest Road Race menu!   The Y is partnering with SoCCA to offer a fun, action packed 1 ½ mile Color Fun Run/Walk on Sunday October 6th
The event will take place on the Linear Trail (starting at the intersection of High Street)
This family friendly event, which support SoCCA’s community initiatives, encourages everyone to run, walk, dance, skip from color station to color station to get blasted with color powder.  Guaranteed to bring laughter and create lifetime memories.
The cost is $30 and everyone who signs up by September 15th is guaranteed a t-shirt to wear.  Registration is limited to 150 participants
The Color Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m.  All participants should meet at the Y's Learning Center (30 High Street) by 8:00 a.m.
After the completion of the Color Run, participants can head up to the Town Green to see the end of the road races and enjoy refreshments in a festive atmosphere.

Specially designed medals will be given out to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place male, female, and non-binary in both the 5k and 5 Mile events in the following age categories:  Overall, 7-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus

The Dave Gworek Memorial Trophy is given out to the top male and female Southington finisher in the 5 Mile Race

The Tony Manning Memorial Trophy is given out to the top male and female Southington finisher in the 5 K Race

The Chris Sanchez Memorial Trophy is given out to the top Southington High School Soccer finisher.

1st thru 5th place medals will be given to 4th and 5th grade boys and girls in the Y CUP 1-Mile Run

1st thru 15th place medals will be given out to Middle School boys and girls in the Middle School 5K.

1st thru 3rd place medals will be given to male and females in the Chamber Corporate Cup

Overall trophy given out to top elementary school in the Y CUP

Overall trophy given out to top middle school in the Middle School 5K

Overall trophy given out to top business/agency in the Chamber Corporate Cup

Little Fritter Fun Run participants will receive a medal.

$200 for record breaking performances in:

5K - Male (16.03) and Female (18.42)
5 Mile - Male (24.33) and Female (27.31)
