Four Brookline poets with various areas of expertise—photography, anthropology, literary studies, fiction, and poetry-in-translation—will each read four of their original poems. Featuring Peter Brown, Elizabeth Ferry, Melissa Green, and Kerry Loughman; hosted by Brookline poet laureate Jennifer Barber. English Language Learning Tutoring

We are excited to announce that the learner waitlist for our one-on-one tutoring program will reopen on Tuesday, December 6 at 10 AM on the ELL webpage.

Our language tutoring program matches adult English learners with volunteer tutors for one-on-one sessions to practice English, learn about the local community, and share cultural knowledge. The learners and tutors meet weekly for one hour for six months in person or online.

Volunteers are fluent or native English language speakers with tutor training, but are not professional teachers. The program is limited to the residents of Brookline or the Greater Boston Area. Join us for a duct tape wallet making event for children. Already know how to make a basic wallet? No worries! For advanced makers, we will cover how to add photo pockets and coin envelopes to your duct tape wallet.

For children in grades 2-4. Limited to 20 attendees. This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
